The idea that we work in a service economy where we provide professional and financial services is becoming obsolete. We really work in an “Experience Economy” and the experience that many of our clients have when getting estate planning services often falls woefully short of their expectations. What is the job clients really hire their estate planner to do? This presentation will show that clients expect advisors to understand not only their fears of loss (taxation, mismanagement and waste) but their expectations for happiness. In order to close the service/experience gap estate planners must guide clients into a transformational planning experience. This experience must provide client joy in benefiting-the-beneficiariestm , client purposefulness in determining asset destinations and client clarity in a well communicated message-of-the-money”.
